Hooked from a episode 1!
I have been a fan of podcasts for quite some time. I keep up with my weekly rotation of my favorites shows. When I stumbled across this one, I started with the first released episode and I have been hooked ever since! I enjoy the calm and intellectual banter of Woody and Jim, while also enjoying the stories and the extensive research that goes into each episode. Chef’s kiss for sure!

Bomb!!! Absolute 🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely LOVE Woody and Jim!!! Love the historical aspects of this podcast. Definitely recommend!!

Awesome Podcast!
One of my favorite pods casts, would definitely recommend

Favorite Podcast
Excellent entertaining and informative podcast.

Bloody Angola !!
To say I’ve been super excited about this podcast is a big understatement, I research for fun, and I deep dive for everything. Every episode is a new learning experience. Reaches into your gut, and makes you want to know everything you can about that subject. Now we have wolf dogs!!! I have family members who have trained police dogs in that certain foreign language, those dogs were scary even when I was little. Join the Chase Team so you can see Big Chief in his true majesty and learn how his job facilitates Angola, and the inmates inside!

Wolf dawgs
Great and interesting story! I just wanted it to go on and on. This podcast is absolutely riveting…every episode. Jim’s research is meticulous as well as extremely well done. The rapport between Woody and Jim is so obvious. The shows are very well done and always leave me waiting for more.

So much history
This is an Amazing podcast. Takes you inside the horror of a max security prison. I grew up down the road from here so it nice to learn some of the history of this place.

Long intro
Awesome stories, I’m a RLRC fan so naturally I want to listen to anything Woody is in. I have a bit of a hard time listening to Jim’s voice, just not a podcast/radio voice for me. The introduction is very long and could be a little shorter. The stories are great and so are the songs. Also, if you don’t want to listen to the many ads, become a CHASE member.

❤️🖤❤️🖤
I could listen to you woody all day long and Jim is also great I have subscribed to every pod cast you have i thank you for all the entertainment but I could also listen to Kelly J all day too definitely love listening to her talk as well she needs to start her own podcast too take her own advice that got you started 🥰 I love you all I never did listen to a podcast until I got turned on to yours woody and you have created a monster now lol thank you again love your work

I can’t stop listening!
Y’all are awesome! I’ve always stopped and learned what I could about Angola but you never get anything first hand like y’all tell it! Thank you!

Great!
Jim and Woody are so knowledgeable and passionate and nice to listen to podcast where it doesn’t sound like they are reading a script. All of Woodys podcasts are great

Hard to hear but necessary
I was hooked from the first episode except it wasn’t actually episode 1. I had to go back to #1. Wow wow wow so glad I did. So much history and detailed story telling. I knew what I was getting into with one. Some parts are hard to hear but necessary to be told. It happened and history can’t be changed.

Hooked
First podcast I was hooked. Woody does good! So does the other guy, and I love the ex guard that did two episodes!

Fire!!!!
In the words of Woody “it’s FIRE!” Keep the amazingness coming. Loved the episodes with Kelly. You 3 make a great team. Great job guys!!!

Great !
This podcast is great love it.

❤️
Well Done!!!!!

Pure Awesome
One of the BEST PODCAST I have listened to. As a history enthusiast and a career police officer in Louisiana these podcast are spot on. The narrators and guest are very knowledgeable and give you the in’s and out’s of Angola. I encourage everyone to at least listen to one episode and they will be hooked. Thanks for sharing the truth even if it’s ugly.

Amazing
Found this podcast and binged all the episodes in 2 days. Cannot wait to hear more content. You feed my fascination with Angola. Keep up the good work. Raynette

Love it!
Love this pod cast! I went on a field trip to Angola 20+ years ago in high school! It was the most interesting place I have ever been!

Fascinating
Woody and Jim take the dark and intriguing history of Angola Prison and provide it to the listener without making it feel like you’re sitting in a classroom. Easily one of my favorite podcasts.

Obsessed
I am obsessed with Bloody Angola. Love the hosts & the content. They make it addicting to listen to. & get the message across in an interesting way than never makes you bored.

Kelly Jennings-inside the wire episode
I know you know. I know you don’t need justification. But I’m giving it. I just listened to the episode with Kelly Jennings. Fire. Fire. Fire 🔥 Her voice, her verbiage, her humor, she’s a woman to get that demographic interested and her spunk. She’s easy to understand and captivating to listen to. Have her back more!!!!! Did an amazing job painting the story for those who may have never been to the farm. Awesome episode. Keep it up! Ok now I just listened to the death threat episode. Omg I was hanging on every word. That woman is a passionate force. She needs to be a co host of BA!!!!! Freaking amazing. Always amazing woody & Jim. Keep ‘em coming!!!

Wow!!!!!!
Great

AWESOME PODCAST
Absolutely love hearing stories from the inside. You guys are da bomb 💣

Awesome
Only just finishing episode 3 but what a podcast!! Born and raised here in Louisiana so I am very familiar with Angola!! Great show so far!!!

Great
Great!!!

Honest look into something horrible
Great job on this one!! You guys are such honest story tellers!

Hands down, THE BEST!
I am a huge supporter for each Podcast that Woody does. He’s authentic, transparent, and calls a spade a spade. This podcast is constructed so well. It allows the listener to take a step back in time, so that Woody and Jim can provide the listener with what Angola formerly was, what it became, and what it is now. The stories were so compelling to me after the first few episodes, that I took Kelly’s advice and watched “Angola, on the Farm.” I am hopeful that Woody and Jim will maybe even do an episode about those 8 specific inmates that are the focal points of that documentary, and tell us more about the 8, along with where they are now. Thank you, Woody, Jim, and Kelly for delivering such powerful episodes. I respect each of you highly for what you do and who you are. -N.C. Lifer

Love!
Love this podcast! The episodes with Kelly as the guest have been my favorite!

Bloody Angola
Love, love, loved listening to Kelly on this episode. I look forward to hearing more from her! I would love to hear your views on placing adolescents in Angola. After hearing a description by Kelly, I’m not so sure it would be a bad thing
