Amazing first episode got me excited to hear more! I loved the way Woody and Jim interact, the way that they both are amazing story tellers, and how their interest and fascination with Angola comes through to their audience. This podcast is a must listen for anyone who is interested in any type of true crime, but also for those who are interested in hearing about the history and happenings at Angola. I can’t wait to hear more!!!

Another winning podcast from the #1 true crime podcaster

I've been a fan of award-winning podcaster Woody Overton for a few years now. I've listened to every episode of his podcast Real Life Real Crime. In several episodes, Woody mentions Angola. I tried looking online for anecdotal stories about Angola but couldn't find anything more than institutional facts. This podcast is what I've been waiting for! I love that his producer, Jim Chapman, is a cohost. Jim adds another level of information. Woody brings his law and order background and Jim brings the historical context. AWESOME!!!!!!

I knew I was going to love this podcast, but I had no idea how much!! Being from Louisiana and having visited Angola for the rodeo, I’m excited to hear the stories from behind the walls. What I wasn’t expecting was to learn the history of how it came to be. This was the best thing I’ve heard in a while, and I can’t wait for the next episode! Well done Woody and Jim! Bloody Angola is Everything!

I’ve been heavily interested in Angola since a highschool field trip over 25 years ago and have read anything I can get my hands on about this place, now I can hear about it from two of my most favorite people. To say I am excited is an understatement! The first episode had me intrigued and i can’t wait for more. Thank you Woody & Jim!! You just don’t understand the capacity of how excited I am!
